Jon Lovink is one of Canada’s most experienced media coaches and crisis communications counsel. He is author of On Being CREDible – How to Maximize Your CRED Under News Media Scrutiny. His coaching skills have been developed in over two-thousand workshops across Canada training corporate, government and not for profit leaders.
Jon’s has 20 years of news media experience working in the trenches as a reporter, editor and producer in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary and as an Executive Producer of TV news and Current Affairs for CBC in Alberta. Jon has worked outside the news business as a Director of Communications for three large national organizations and has been awarded an International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Award and the American Marketing Association’s Masters of Marketing Award and has served the Board of the Canadian Public Relations Society, the Calgary Folk Music Festival, the United Way and the Canadian Club of Calgary
He is a graduate of Political Science and Economics at Queens University and attended the MA program in Urban Studies at UBC.
