Margaret grew up in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary in 1969. Except for periods of time in Ontario, British Columbia and Belgium she has lived here for almost 50 years.
She was a teacher and administrator with the Calgary Board of Education for 34 years. While seconded to the staff of the NATO International School in Belgium, she was active in Remembrance Day activities at European battle sites from both World Wars. She was part of the Canadian delegation to Poland following Canada’s sponsorship of Poland into NATO.
During the 1988 Olympics she was Vice-Chairman of Hosting for Figure Skating and Hockey, supervising thirty multi-lingual hosts. She is an active skier and golfer and is currently Assistant Director of the Calgary Music Makers Senior Choir. She and her husband David travel extensively and have visited over forty countries.
Margaret has been a member of the Canadian Club for over ten years. As the newest member of our Board of Directors, she is eager to contribute to the operation of the Canadian Club.
